About Ashley Mekala DO

Dr. Ashley Mekala is a General Surgeon who earned his Medical Degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. He completed his surgical training at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas, where he served as Chief Resident. After completing his training, Dr. Mekala decided to return home, to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. He joined North Texas Surgical Specialists and currently practices general surgery, acute care surgery & minimally invasive robotic surgery. Dr. Mekala is a born and raised Texan, is excited to be back “home” in DFW, and looks forward to serving his community.
